At the heart of Flash Fluency is the select, study, speak loop. With the launch of Content to Curriculum, we want to deep dive into the first one.
SELECT is where you decide what you want to learn. Below we introduce each of the ways you can do that.
Whatever you pick, it studies the same way
Every sentence we build for you contains exactly one thing you have not learned yet. One. It is marked in orange so you know where to look, and everything around it is material you have already met.
That is +1 SRS, and it is why any of this works. A news article is not thrown at you as written. Its vocabulary and grammar get rebuilt into sentences at your level, one new piece at a time. So the thing you select changes what you learn, never how hard it hits.

1. Frequency-first Core Curriculum
If you are a beginner, you probably just want the most commonly used vocabulary and grammar, plus the words you need to survive everyday situations in Korea. You do not need a personalized path. You need the right 5000 words in the right order.
That is our Core Curriculum: the 5000 most common vocabulary items, plus the full set of 320 grammars. Not a selection of grammars, not the popular ones. The complete set you would work through anywhere.
For those preparing for TOPIK, a core TOPIK 10k set is coming as well. Everything to take you from TOPIK 0 to TOPIK 6.
For most learners most of the time, this is still the fastest way through, and it is not going anywhere.
2. Vocab Topics
Frequency order is efficient, but it does not care what you are doing this weekend.
Vocab Topics let you pull a whole area of the language forward.
Pick the topic, and the vocabulary and grammar inside it move to the front of your queue.
Useful when you have a trip, an appointment, a job, or a hobby that needs its own vocabulary before the frequency list would have gotten there on its own.
3. Content to Curriculum
But sometimes you want to learn something more fun. Or you need to learn something for work, or for the class you are in, or for the drama you refuse to watch with subtitles.
That is what shipped today.
Drop something in
Three ways in:
Paste it. Lyrics, a message, an article, anything you can copy.
Link it. Give us a URL and Flash Fluency extracts the text and generates your list.
Photograph it. Point your camera at a menu, a sign, a page of a book, a screenshot on someone else's phone. OCR runs locally on your device, so the image itself never leaves your phone.
Your source text is not stored and it is never shown back to you. Flash Fluency reads it once, pulls the vocabulary and grammar out, and builds from there.
What comes back is not a word dump. It is a list checked against what you already know, so the words you have already earned stay where they are in your SRS and the new material gets slotted in where it belongs.
Then it studies like anything else in the app. Same exercises, same +1 sentences, same engine.
4. Discussion Answers & Journal Entries
Coming around September to October 2026.
Answer one of a variety of discussion questions, or just journal freely in Korean. Your sentences get analyzed the same way our translation exercise analyzes them, and you get feedback on how to improve what you wrote.
Then, if you want to study what you reached for, set a discussion set as your study target. We will extract the vocabulary and grammar out of your own writing and generate +1 sentences from it.
Content to Curriculum turns someone else's writing into your curriculum. This turns yours into one.
