Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Flash Fluency (the "App" or "Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.
2. Who We Are
Flash Fluency is operated by Flash Fluency Co., Ltd. (주식회사 플래시플루언시), a company registered in Seoul, Republic of Korea. You can reach us at contact@flashfluency.net.
3. Description of Service
Flash Fluency provides language-learning tools, including:
- Study sentences and vocabulary material
- Translation, writing, and pronunciation exercises
- AI-assisted explanations and feedback
- Tools that generate study material from content you submit
Any new features or tools added to the Service are also subject to these Terms.
4. Account Registration
You create an account using Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google. Flash Fluency does not issue or store passwords. You are responsible for maintaining the security of the Apple or Google account you use to sign in, and for activity that occurs under your Flash Fluency account.
You agree to provide accurate information when registering and to keep it current.
5. Subscriptions and Billing
Some features require a paid subscription.
- Billing. Subscriptions are purchased and billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, depending on where you downloaded the App. Flash Fluency does not process your payment directly and does not receive your payment card details.
- Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel beforehand. Billing, renewal timing, and cancellation deadlines are governed by the store you purchased through, and are shown to you at the point of purchase.
- Free trial. If you start a free trial, it converts automatically into a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless you cancel before it ends. The trial length and price are shown before you sign up.
- Cancellation. You can cancel at any time through your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancelling stops future renewals. You keep access to paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- Refunds. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies. Flash Fluency cannot issue refunds for purchases made through their stores.
- Price changes. We may change subscription prices. Existing subscribers are not guaranteed their original price indefinitely. Apple and Google handle notice and, where their rules or your local law require it, your consent before a higher price takes effect. If you do not want to continue at a new price, you can cancel.
Nothing in this section limits any cancellation or withdrawal rights you have under the consumer protection laws of your country.
6. Content You Submit
Flash Fluency lets you submit text, lyrics, articles, and video links so that the Service can generate study material from them.
- Your responsibility. You are responsible for the content you submit. By submitting content, you confirm that you have the right to do so and that your submission does not infringe anyone's copyright or other rights.
- What we do with it. You grant Flash Fluency a licence to process your submission in order to extract vocabulary and grammar. That extracted vocabulary and grammar becomes part of Flash Fluency's general learning catalog and may be used to generate study material for the Service, including for other users. We do not store your original submission, and we do not reproduce or republish it. How your submission is handled is described in our Privacy Policy.
- Prohibited content. Do not submit content that is illegal, infringing, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or otherwise inappropriate. Submissions are screened automatically, and we may decline to process content that fails screening.
- No obligation. We may refuse or remove any submission at our discretion.
7. Acceptable Use
By using Flash Fluency, you agree not to:
- Use the Service for anything other than personal language learning.
- Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure.
- Attempt to extract, scrape, or bulk-download our content or data.
- Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit content from the Service.
- Misrepresent your identity or provide false registration information.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why.
8. AI-Generated Content
Parts of the Service are powered by AI models, including explanations, feedback, translations, and generated study sentences. AI-generated output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading. Do not rely on it for anything important without checking it independently. Flash Fluency does not warrant the accuracy of AI-generated content.
9. Intellectual Property
The Service and its content, including text, graphics, software, and generated study material, are owned by Flash Fluency or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may use them for your own personal language learning. Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or modification is prohibited.
You keep any rights you already hold in content you submit. These Terms do not transfer ownership of your content to us.
10. Changes to the Service
We may add, change, or discontinue features at any time. If we discontinue a feature that is a significant part of a paid subscription, we will give you reasonable notice so that you can decide whether to continue your subscription.
11. Account Deletion
You can delete your account at any time from the Settings section of the App. Deletion removes your personal data from our live systems immediately. Residual copies in encrypted backups are purged within 30 days, as described in our Privacy Policy. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel a subscription purchased through Apple or Google. Cancel through your store account settings.
If you have difficulty deleting your account, contact us at contact@flashfluency.net.
12. Age Requirements
Flash Fluency requires users to meet the following minimum ages:
- Republic of Korea: 14 years or older.
- European Union: 16 years or older, unless verifiable parental consent has been obtained.
- Elsewhere: 13 years or older.
If a parent or guardian believes their child has used the Service below the applicable minimum age, they may contact us at contact@flashfluency.net to request deletion.
13. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that it will meet your specific requirements.
To the extent permitted by law, Flash Fluency is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the Service. Where we are liable, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the law that applies to you, including your rights as a consumer.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer protections available to you under the law of your country of residence.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated version number and date. If we make significant changes affecting your rights, we will notify you through an in-app message or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
